HI Guys

My 98 Accent 150 Rsi's left front eclectric window is busted. On Friday while closing the window, it just went "clunk". Window was halfway up. Is stopped at that moment and tried to close it further. Although it closed, not 100% closed. Only about 98% closed. Now when opening an closing the window, it struggles like there is excess strain put on the mechanism. It also sound like something is rubbing against the window whem closing. Also doesn't close totally. I think the motor is fine but something must have slipped on the mechanism causing it to be out of line. Not sure. Any advise as to what to look for?

WD 40 MAY HELP SPRAY SOME ON THE RIBEBRS AND IF YOU CAN GET THE DOOR TRIM OFF. THIS WILL LOSEN IT UP AND LUBRICATE THE GUIDES.

Tried lubrication. Not working. Seems that the window is not in line when closing. It goes up more in the front than in the back so that when it's closed, there is still small gap at the back of the window between the glass and door frame.

I have taken the car to the dealer and he advised that it is the regulater that must be replaced as there is to much play on the mechanism, resulting in the window slipping when going down, thus the wiondow doesn't go down evenly

Hi

The dealer replaced the regulator. Is now working but had to take it back the next day to get the widow allignment resolved as it was stil closig a bit unevenly. A slight adjustment on the placing of the new regulator and windo is now alligned. Took of doorpanel at home yesterday to put some lubrication as window sounded very dry. After this and runnig the window up and down, it now runs very smoothly ans also very quiet.

Feels as if it is now much better than before it gave troulble.
