Oh fan freaking tastic, my car got stolen lastnight. By a group of delightful.... people... who decided to use my car as a joy ride, while they broke into shops throughout the town.

The car has been recovered, fingerprinted, analysed, and all that crap, and other than being slightly dusty and the steering column cover shattered to pieces, nothing LOOKS broken, or missing, including my stereo and speakers valued at about $500... what di..... delightlful people. I'm sure they've done their parents proud....

ANYWAY.... upon getting into the car to drive it away from the local cop shop, the key freewheels in the barrel, fine.... no qualms, that can be fixed/replaced.... get the car started, go to reverse it out, and the car lurches foreward..... and it does the same in nuetral.... aswell as low and second and drive...
and while having a car that is eager to progress is a novelty..... it is not really a good thing...

Can anyone advise what may have happened? why is my transmission foreward only? what can i do to fix it perhaps?
