In summary, the parts needed for Aftermarket Radio Installation in a 2008/2009 Hyundai Accent with stock XM Radio, are the following Metra parts: 40-KI11 = Antenna Adapter ($18) 99-7321 = Radio Dash Mounting Kit ($15) 70-7303 = Radio Harness Adapter ($15) ----- Total = $48 (I already had the SmartCable adapter to JVC radios, so I didn't need to buy that (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ) NOTE: All of the pieces are plug and play! No soldering or taping or anything required (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I'm so excited... after MONTHS and MONTHS of waiting, the wait finally paid off and now my radio will work!!!! I just have to wait for the antenna adapter to arrive (special order from installer.com). I will post pictures when I finally get it all put back together (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) :D:D UPDATE: This is what it looks like when connected to your car's harnesses (the Brown and Gray plugs) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

QUOTE (hoosieraccent @ Jan 3 2009, 04:05 PM) that metra kit is a decent looking one... (IMG: style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif) what brand is the bad looking one, is that the scosche? Yep, the Scosche one was the first one I tried and it was seriously as flimsy as a cheap plastic spatula... that's a terrible comparison, I know, but it was just as flexible. I thought I was gonna break the Scosche the second I touched it. The Metra one ROCKS.

QUOTE (Evan @ Jan 3 2009, 06:44 PM) THe Scosche P.O.S. is the one I have...how much was the Metra one and where could I get it to replace my crappy Scosche one? I got mine from Installer.com. It shipped pretty quickly too. It's $15, which is awesome considering I originally bought the Scosche one for $20 and this one is superior in every way. PS - READ THE INSTRUCTIONS before installing it! You have to cut (i used a mini-hacksaw) 2 small pieces off, but the instructions are VERY clear. Just do yourself a favor and don't just start cutting stuff off (IMG: style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif) http://www.installer.com/item/display_item.php?it=99-7321Hope that helps!
