Due to a request from a fellow member (Craig) I made a quick form that will post the submitted entries to a spreadsheet and then a webpage. The idea is to get folks to post up their results from mileage tests they have done or will do. This will at least give us a place to reference in the future.

It's nothing fancy but it works. Depending on usage I might integrate it into a regular webpage on Sonata site.

Form Entry

View Entries

It may take a couple of minutes after you post before the entry is visible on the "view entries" page. If anything's missing please let me know, but remember we're trying to keep it as simple as possible. :57:

First!

I think this is a great feature, especially if people add a general weather condition as these cars seem more temperature dependent than my previous vehicles.

For instance, I can turn 20-22mpg in town when it is hot out, but when the temperature is below freezing I have a hard time getting 18mpg. My previous car would only loose 1-2mpg whereas the sonata drops 3-6mpg.

Filled up yesterday and saw 27 MPG. I heard on CNN our Government has

a new plan to take over the Oil companies next, and pass on the savings to us!

Your wish is my command - I added "L4 Diesel" to the drop down. Are there any other engine options that should be added ?

"Now if you guys think I'm going to put your numbers in line with your previous posted numbers every week or every fill up you've lost your minds !"

It was my IDEA.....not theirs.

"For those that Want to post every fill up or whatever ... I could possibly setup another spreadsheet where you'd each have your own column, and put dates down the left - nah that won't work either as everyone's dates will be different."

It was just an early morning (in Montana) thought. :whistling:

Hmm ... have to think about this one. I don't want to make it too complicated, short of giving everyone their own spreadsheet and form.

That's why I asked for this thread.....complicated....make you earn your $$. :w00t:

Could be interesting. I keep a spreadsheet for my big cars and update it with each fillup starting from day one. Lots of data on the Sonata which has 53,000 miles showing now.

Several comprehensive gas mileage websites already are on the web. At fueleconomy.gov the U.S. Federal government has a site for all vehicles in America. You can compare your vehicle with other owners' vehicles too.

The site gives you a nice bar graph to track mileages. Notes can be inputed to compare from season to season or determine problems.

Finally had time to put in the data so now you all can see what a disel will do. Keep in minde i live in iceland it never gets hotter than 65 F during summer time. From reading all the other posts maybe my MPG will get even better soon since it is a relativelly new car.
