Drives: 2002 Hyundai Sonata 2.7
I drive a 2002 2.7 Sonata. I use Syntec oil. I live in Canada in cold weather. Which grade of oil I should use. 5W20? 5W40? Help me.

Drives: 2003 Sonata 2.7v6
5w20 will be perfect for Canucks. The light weight is for running in cold weather for a less syrupy oil at start up.

Heavy weigh oil is for hotter climates or Summer protection.

By the time it gets warm up your way you will need another oil change and that is when you switch to heavy oil.
