I have the standard sound system in my SF and was thinking about putting in a sub where there is one if you have the seven speaker system. Has anyone done this, or seen this? I tried to get the pop-out, out to see what was the deal in there but couldnt get it out in fear of breaking it. Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on adding one or knew of any pics of someone doing the install.

Not sure if I would put in a small amp, or just simply a crossover and use the radios little amp, but open to ideas if you have one.
Thanks

I bought a compact subwoofer from Costco online and mounted it behind the passenger seat. It's easy to hookup and the wires are already there if you have the stereo with the amp under the seat. It seems the subwoofer area in back is difficult to access and would not be wired if it's not already there. The Infinity subwoofer on mine does not sound loud enough back there compared to the front door woofers, so I recommend placing a sub elsewhere. Here's the one I got: http://www.amazon.com/Boss-BASS600-Profile...r/dp/B000OSZA44 It sounds much better than the stock sub in the rear quarter panel.

If you're looking for just a drop-in solution, the boss compact subwoofer is probably the best way to go.

The stock sub has this odd looking enclosure for it (which I doubt is included with your system) as well as a separate amp channel to power it as the stock system cant handle it on it's own.

To be honest I'm a bit disapointed with the infinity +woofer system. The stock sub has no thump at all.
