i know someone on here has them, but would you need a switch in order to turn off the led's or would it automatically turn off when the car is off? http://www.superbrightleds.com/headlightaccent.htm
I'm thinking about getting the dark green color

A switch would be advisable unless you would want them to stay on all the time.
Wiring them into your headlights would defeat the purpose as these are for show ,not driving. They :57: are not supposed to be noticable when the lights are on.

In many states it is illegal to to have LED's on while driving so a switch is advisable. Plus its like a buck and will give you more control over your LED's.

No. The only street-legal colors of lights on the front of vehicles in the United States are shades of white and yellow. The running lights on the R8 are white.

that is not true, there is no federal mandate on lighting, its on a state by state basis.

In the state of maryland you can have any color of lights/leds you want on the car

brake lights have to be red/orange
headlights must be DOT approved (doesnt specify color)
turn indicators must be amber on the front of the vehicle, can be red in the rear.
any other lights on the car can be any color you want as long as they do not flash.
Not only did I research this when I installed EDM headlights in my last car, I was also told this by a cop when he notice my VERY bright blue LED city lights.

I was just going by PA and CA regulations. I assumed most other states were like that.
MARYLAND?! Dude, we should meet up. I'm in Philly.
