Today while driving home from doing some shopping, I was crusing along on the interstate around 75 MPH and had my sunroof open (slid back). I passed a truck which I'm assuming changed the aerodynamics and my pop up wind blocker started flopping like mad, sounded like a helicopter, the whole entire roof was popping up and down. Talk about scary stuff. I reached up and pulled it down and then let go and all was well from then on. Every car I own has a sunroof and I've not experienced this before.

Anyone else ever experience this?

Ray

Yes it happens when there's a lot of wind movement... like when there's a lot of wind or when I'm near a 53'. On big road trip I use something to block the wind blocker.

So to answer your question, yes it's normal. ;)

If you have a Ziebart location near by you can get a power one done there. They are the only aftermarket one I have had luck with.

Aftermarket sunroof is not worth the risk, I know if i was shopping for a used car and it had one I woudnt touch it.

I've had a half dozen done at Ziebart over the years and never had a problem. All came with a lifetime warranty against leaks, and I never had one that did. With devaluation on the Accent I would not exactly worry about it affecting value.

Thanks for the responses guys, I'll pass on the sunroof deflector, I hate those things. Glad to know it's not a problem solely experienced by me, something we share.
