I have a problem with an 05 Tiburon GT. I was rear ended and needed to have body work done. When I got my car back, I could turn the stereo on, but only the rear speakers worked, I could not adjust the volume, pan, fade, or eq, or change tracks, and there was nothing on the display. Also, my cruise control lever somehow was now able to change my stereo functions from am/fm to cd to tape. So whenever I want to engage my cruise control, I have to turn my stereo off.
I took it to the dealer, and they said there was some ground problem that happened during the repairs and the stereo works fine now, but my cruise control still changes stereo functions. This all happened about a year and half ago.
Now, I just changed my battery out today and the same thing happened again with the stereo. Does anyone have any idea what's going on here? Is there some reset that needs to happen with the stereo when the battery is disconnected?
