Hi there guys,

Well I look in the forum searching for all weather rubber floor matts but I could not find any posting for that so I decide to ask here. Did any one recently bought something like rubber floor matt? Can you tell me how much it was the cost for 2 or 4 pices ? I want to get some of those because it seem the winter here is Chicago will be hard and I dont want to destroy my carpet?

I have looked in eBay for some, but they dont look like will fit, even that they say they are for 2007 Sonata.

Thanks in advance

Hey there En4eV,

Have you considered the WeatherTech Floorliner? I just recently ordered a set (but haven't gotten them yet) and although it's pricey compared to the regular cut-to-fit generic ones, they're supposedly the last word on floor mats. Hopefully so.

Like you, my purchase was specifically in time for winter when all that snow and mud gets sloshed into the car.

I have the Hyundai all-weather mats and found them to be good but I bought them before I knew about the Weather Tech Floorliners. Seeing them now I think I would have spent the extra money and bought them instead.

It appears the Floorliners provide the best protection available and are come in different colours to better match the different interiors. The Hyundai mats only come in black.

I personally would not buy any of the universal mats. They might be cheap but do not provide very good protection because they are not a custom fit to the car.

I have both the heavy rubber floor mats and the Weathertech floor liners, and if I could go back in time there is NO way I would spend the $93 that I paid for the Hyundai heavy rubber mats when the Weathertechs only cost me $110.

They just cover so much more of the floor, and look pretty good doing it. I always wished my car had a darker carpet, but now I can't see much of the carpet at all :D

Good to know those of you who already have it, love it. It definitely eases the pain of blowing $178 for a front/rear set. LOL!

How easy is it to clean? The reason why I ask is because I currently have grey mats to match my interior and although they're 'fairly' easy to clean, tar stains are a real bear to remove. I almost sprung for the black Floorliners just so that tar dots don't become too visible.

In the end, form still won over function and I bought grey.

I wonder how black would look with my grey interior. Btw, why didn't you order directly from weathertech.com? Their price is exactly the same shipped.

The Weathertech floorliners for the front are the same for 2006-2009. The rear design is apparently different for 2009, and they haven't made those yet. I opted to get the rear Hyundai all-weather mats for the rear and I am pretty satisfied since I don't have a ton of traffic back there.

The fronts are so incredibly worth it, though. :)

That's right.
I'd like to get the rears eventually, but I just couldn't justify it at the time since I don't often have people back there in the winter.

The black looks good, IMO. It feels like more of a charcoal than black to me, which works nicely.

I guess black mats on a grey interior would look quite good but probably not as good as grey on grey. I bought my set from Autoanything.com - same price as on Weathertech's website when including shipping. I think Autoanything just takes orders but ultimately Weathertech ships it. Same story with the Eibach springs I had in the past - purchase from AA but the shipment came directly from Eibach.

Normandelli, when you get yours, would you please take pics? I am specially interested to see how they ship the rear mat, like if they fold or roll it. Also, please take pics once they are installed.

Alright, here they are as promised. Spex, sorry I wasn't able to take photos of the mats packed in the box. My wife took 'em out before I got home.

I was in Sam's Club similar to a Costco on Thursday and saw a set of 4 trim to fit mats for $20.00.

I have a Wal-Mart rubber mat that I have used for the past 5 years. I usually keep it in year round for rain and such.

Craig, I am all about saving money too, but these weathertechs are in a completely different class compared to anything else out there. Do I think the $180 price tag a little extreme? OF COURSE. But there is nothing like it.
