Just wanted to post a few pics of my 2008 Santa Fe 7 seater Limited . I've had it about a month now and love it. I've been updating it ever since I bought it. As you can see, I've added the step bars, bull bar and kc driving lights, rear garnish, vent visors, hood deflector and also installed a rear seat DVD system with 10 inch screen for the kids with 5 cordless headsets. The new 20 inch rims and tires will go on in spring. Also have the lowering springs and upper stiffener bar, (need to modify the upper spring /shock towers to fit). Going to make my own cold air intake as no one really makes a proper one . My buddy has an exhaust shop, so custom dual exhaust is going on it at Christmas (thats his slow period)...so I'll upload some more pics as things go on. Also ordered the rear LED taillights and lower rear fog LEDS for it. Should look awesome. Pondering the thought of doing the headlights also...we'll see. Let me know what you think of my ride. Thanks for the site, it's great! Cheers Taz (IMG: http://pic40.picturetrail.com/VOL297/11661012/20698939/337548159.jpg) (IMG: http://pic40.picturetrail.com/VOL297/11661012/20698939/337548133.jpg) (IMG: http://pic40.picturetrail.com/VOL297/11661012/20698939/337548115.jpg) (IMG: http://pic40.picturetrail.com/VOL297/11661012/20698939/337548804.jpg) (IMG: http://pic40.picturetrail.com/VOL297/11661012/20698939/337548778.jpg) (IMG: http://pic40.picturetrail.com/VOL297/11661012/20698939/337548159.jpg) (IMG: http://pic40.picturetrail.com/VOL297/11661012/20698939/337548738.jpg)

Thanks for your "honest" comments. everybody has there own opinions.
But as to "Pep Boys' cheesy accessories aisle " comment.....the add ons are all factory Hyundai except the driving lights, but you knew that....right????
I can't figure out why you would call my step bars, which are functional, 'bash bars'....you drive over curbs and parking stumps or a new driver??
The front bar is for my driving lights due to the mountain driving I do and lights up the road nicely. Its a shame that you would say that but then again....different strokes for different folks..
I can take the good with the bad and your opinion is your opinion.
I'm glad you think your box stock Santa Fe looks better than other Santa Fe's....but then again , you just blend in with the rest.
Anyways...take care and thanks for your comments.....

QUOTE I'm glad you think your box stock Santa Fe looks better than other Santa Fe's....but then again , you just blend in with the rest. That's kinda the idea. Overdone SUVs usually get laughed at 'round here. QUOTE PS: Claff, were you aware that every Santa Fe - including your own - has "cheesy" plastic rock shields and "silly" blacked-out rocker panels which are designed to give the illusion of ground clearance? Get off your high horse before you embarrass all of us in front of the Hummer drivers Not too concerned with what Hummer drivers think, they don't display much logical thinking in the first place. I can live with the fake ground clearance stuff on our station wagon, I didn't pay extra for it and I'm not going to pay anything to try and get rid of it. It's the wife's ride, anyway, not mine, so I don't have any say towards what goes on or off of it and neither of us drive it that much anyway (13,000 miles in 16 months). I prefer my vehicles to be a little closer to the ground like the OP wants to do to his wagon, but I'd like to think I started with a slightly more appropriate type of vehicle for that. I say more power to the OP for his plans for his wagon. The cheapskate in me wonders about the logic of buying expensive pieces to replace perfectly working stuff already on the car, especially in light of resaleability down the road, warranty issues, and of course the ever-present cheese factor, but it's his money, not mine, so rock on, eh.

thank you for the comment Trucker.
Thanks for input also Don 67.
I do like what I've done and lots of feed back from it....mostly positive and liked what I've done.
You'll always have a remote few with different comments, but thats what makes us all different...Each to his own.
As for overdone SUV's......where I come from, people give you a sense of respect for what you have done. They enjoy seeing people take pride in what they drive,,,not make fun of them.

Who makes the lowering springs? Have thought about slight lowering (1 inch or so). Handling is pretty good for a crossover type vehicle with little body roll as is, but lower might be an improvement.
I have a contact into Hawk Brakes and will be interested if they make a performance pad for the SF. That would be a bit of improvement.
Otherwise at 4,000 miles, I'm pretty impressed.

Add on styling items and other accessories are very much items of personal taste. Keep in mind that what seems to be an option that you can't live without may seem to others to be the worst waste of money they've ever seen, not to mention the trashing of a beautiful ride.
When you post pictures of a modified ride, be prepared for for positive AND negative comments about the looks of your vehicle.
For myself, I don't like too many add-ons, but I do like the bully bar and lights.
I don't like vent visors at all, they all look so "tacked on"
I'm also puzzled why you would want to lower a vehicle, then install step up bars. My wife is five foot two, and has no problem at all stepping into our Santa at its regular height without bars.
I am also confused as to why people would buy an entry level cross-over, then spend thousands on accessories. It seems to defeat the purpose of having such a nice ride at such a cheap price.
I would rather spend extra money on a nicer car if I had it, like maybe the Veracruz. But that is a philosophical difference that people either agree on or don't. When I see a heavily modified car of any type, my "cheese" radar goes up......
Then again, my wife accuses me of being practical to a fault.
