Yes, the sooner the better. Let us know what problem they find.

Well yes...and although its probably "nothing", thats what you have that ummmmmmm "warranty" for...unless you plan just to drive it and see what happens..folks actually do that.....I knew a guy that saw a check engine lite on a chevy, and thought all he had to do was raise the hood and "check the engine" and it would go out...and he was serious too...dunno if he thought the mill would drop out of the car or what...

My guess is it's the fuel pump recall problem. THe guy and my dealer said the check engine pops on when you start having symptoms from the recall.

so i brought the car to the dealer, he used the electronic diagnosing kit and saw nothing was wrong and he concluded that the most common cause of the engine check light was due to the gas cap left opened or fueling the car while the engine was running. now that is kinda strange because i never left the engine running and i tightened the cap all the time.

but if the engine check light turns up again i'll dfinitely make more noise to them.

Thats the ticket!!! use the warranty, and dont be shy...that "diagnosing tool" also reads any bad codes that WERE stored in it too...sooooooooo.........anyway, usually, that check engine lite refers to the pollution control system, usually bad Oxygen sensors...altho that would be rediculous on a new car...OR it could be the ol loose wire electrical gremlin bad check engine warning lite itself...and although you say you always check the gas cap, and I personally have never heard of that lite coming on while fueling with the engine running which is a no no anyway, i guess its possible...so just drive it and enjoy it, and hopefully itll be another mystery of the sea...(btw, dunno if Hyundais work this way, but other makes actually self-diagnose and correct any problem internally, and after certain number of on/off cycles, the lite goes out on its own..)
