Has anyone installed a HID converison kit for their fogs? Is there room there to fit the ballast? Im thinking of getting digital slim kits, also upgrade my older analog low beams.

I upgraded my lo and hi beams to HID, but haven't done the fogs. Actually I'm thinking about just switching to a yellow halogen bulb for the fog lights. As far as there being room for the ballasts, my lo beams have regular size ballasts while the hi beams have the smaller digital ballasts. There really isn't that much of a size difference between them, not enough to warrant buying one versus the other anyways. The important factor is that unless you want to cut the wires and splice in additional length, you're limited to about 12-15 inches between the bulb and the ballast and also between your existing fog light plug and the ballast. That really limits your options as far as where to place the ballasts. Also, make sure you get the shock/waterproof ballasts as I bet they'll take more of a beating down by the fogs versus inside the engine compartment. One other thing.....I've read on other forums that HID bulbs are not as effective as halogen for use as fog lights. I can't vouch for this opinion, but it might be worth checking into before you take the plunge. PM me if you have any other questions regarding the install. Good luck man.
