Hello mate, I'm new here. I have my 08' Accent Sedan since last Apirl. I love this little ride. I have a question for all of you fellow Accent riders.

Where in the world I could find reasonable price for Armrest cover? Mine only have 1 rest, and it is in a cream color along with the dark brown and cream interior. I have been looking all over on sites and town for armrest cover, and it almost like it doesn't exist. It doesn't have to be fancy custom fit kind, I really need something that I do not want to get the original all dirty. :57:

Never even heard of just an armrest cover. Probably your best bet is to get acquainted with a sewing needle and some thread; although if you do find one on the internet post a link

yeah I know, that happens to my mom. She keep leaning to the side and she keep asking me, that something isn't right where is the armrest for my seat?

I don't understand why Hyundai only made one armrest for the driver and none for passager? It doesn't make any sense..

Oh and I found a site that carry armrest cover under $20.

But, I'm not sure about the sizes, what the heck do they mean "regular, large, and extra large??" There no measurements.. =/

not having an armrest on the passenger seat is a good thing for when my girlfriend wants to snuggle while we takin a drive....

but yeah, i would try to sewing route, make a cover out of some fabric that is thick and durable, just so you dont have to make another one in 6 months...

start by making a pattern, take a piece of cardboard and tracing the outline of the armrest on it, cut that tracing out, then transfer that to your fabric.. just remember when you are sewing it together it will be inside-out, then after yer done sewing all yer pieces together turn it right side out and slip it on... like a fabric condom!! lol

good luck!

for all that are wondering, i took home economics in high school, so im familiar with sewing and a sewing machine... i can also cook! :w00t: (impresses the ladies!)

PS.. i would be leary of seat covers as our seats have airbags in them!! in the event or a side crash, your seat cover would restrict the airbag from deploying properly!! (just a heads up for ya!)

Uh.... Come on.. It not too hard just to lift the armrest up if she wanted to snuggle with you. Jeez, lol.

Thanks for the tips, my mother is a good sewer, she can make a really nice drapery for the living room and currently make a fabric sitting cushion for the window alcove in a master bedroom for her boss. Maybe it wouldn't be too hard for to make one for me.

My car is the basic automatic (ie: no power locks, automatic windows, etc.) I don't think the airbag for my seat doesn't come with the package.. I know of mine have 4 side airbags surrounding the car.

look on your seatback itself, if it does have an airbag in your seat, there will be a tag sewn into it saying SRS airbag...

most the time where my GF wants to snuggle, whatever is in the cup holder (water bottle) gets tossed in the back and my armrest comes up... she says she doesnt mind sittin on the E-brake either! lol

I question the lack of there being a arm rest for the passenger as well. Bad Hyundai!!!

If you feel (side of seat across from driver arm rest location) there is a hole where the armrest goes (prob this way for world markets) I have wondered how easy it would be to order the armrest from Hyundai and try adding it in however I wondered how to keep the seat cover material tight and not coming loose from around the entry point of the arm rest.
