So I was driving my girlfriend out to see my parents house a few days ago...I needed to get over to make my turn after stopping at a red light. The car next to me wouldn't let me scoot over before the light so I was just gonna get ahead of him after the light changed...I took off from the light and suddenly the WHOLE front end of the starts to shake violently...enough of blurr my vision and make the speedo needle shake! I took it to the dealership out by my apartment and they did a quick driving test and then put it on a lift and did a visual diagnostic. The mechanic said that the right axle was either bent or something inside the housing broke causing the axle to shake. The service manager told me that it would be a warrantied fix so now I just wait for the parts to come in.

This all started when I bought my car. It had this shake from the very beginning but it ALWAYS went away after I got out of 2nd gear. I took it to the dealership one time before this and they said that it could any number of things...basically I got lucky that it was covered.

Still driving for the time being. I can't afford a rental.

Yeah it is still operational but the severe vibrations makes it very "iffy" to say the least. I was thinking if they might have backed it off the trailer wrong or something... Took my gf's Fit to a party last night and almost scraped the side of a car as I was backing it out of a parking spot...not used to the viewing angles.

with something being fixed under warranty, and if the car seems unsafe to drive, shouldn't the dealership provide a rental? Seems like the right thing to do.

Yeah you were brave to accept the car back not knowing exactly what is going on. I'd have insisted on a rental for my safety.

Although a few years back Honda would not allow a rental b/c my Accord was having numerous exhaust problems and it would simply quit in the middle of the highway or on acceleration. I rented a car on my own coin and that was the last Honda I've owned.

My dealer provides complimentary Sonatas as the temporary car. Awesome. I can't wait til my car's in the shop for a random reason. I wanna drive a sonata.

my dealership only provides a rental through enterprise. So when i had m 30k with full detail, they provided me with a rental.. Drove a previous generation ford focus.. Seats were a lot more comfortable, but the car was horrible to drive..

THis isn't the dealership that I bought my car from. I bought my car in Terrell, Tx @ Randall Noe...I took it to be serviced at Southwest Hyundai in um...I don't know what city its in. But they're way friendlier than Randall Noe and if I had taken the time to shop around instead of an impulse buy then I wouldn't have bought from them in the first place.

I doubt that I will receive a rental car from a dealership that made no money off of me. But they do have a nice selection of Tibs and Genesis'...maybe I'll get lucky! :)

DAYUM! Mine isn't like that though. NOthing has actually broken away from the car...yet. and its the drive axle not the spindle portion. My part has been ordered just waiting for it to come in now. I really hope this fixes my problem too...i don't like being unsure about my ride.

Okie dokie...well Tuesday...yesterday...I took my car to the shop to be repaired before school (8AM)...and it was finished by noon. They replaced the right drive axle and now the ride is smooth as silk. It feels flawless!

I also smoked my tail lights today at school. I'm going to do the sidemarkers and turn signal area of my headlights too. But that's tomorrow...they turned out really good. I'll get some pics posted once I am able to get to my camera...

Two coats of the VHT Nite-shades product that I ordered from SummitRacing.com. $23 after shipping and such and it only took 3 days for my product to arrive on my doorstep! Oh and it's a 10 oz. can that covers 12-14 sq. ft. :57:

Does that stuff really work? I've been skeptical of it for a while now. If it does I'll check my local laws to see if its illegal (I can't afford another ticket at this time.) Also all I can find is the 7oz for $12.

Do you have to disassemble the tail lights to paint it or do you paint the outside?
