I have a 2000 Hyundai Accent (base model) 1.5L. This car was running before it sat for 1 to 2 months. Here is what I've done to try and start it...

- Connected Battery to wall charger. Cranks on demand. Yay. :)
- I added some fuel stabilizer to the tank (has 1/4 tank of 2 month old gas).
- Sprayed ether into the intake manifold. After doing this, it will fire a few times. Enough to burn the ether. Dies after a very very short rumble (1 to 3 seconds depending on how much ether I used). Otherwise, it doesn't run. No ether = no fire.
- Replaced spark plugs with new 2 prong ones.
- Installed air filter (previous owner removed it and disconnected the sensor).
- Checked fuses (including ECM and the rest that are under the hood).
- Inspected fuel injector terminals - 15ohm / 3.84v (good).

Miscellaneous information that might help:

Fuel has to be pumped into the gas tank 1/5 gallon at a time. I literally have to squeeze the gas pump at the station about 50-60 times to fill my tank.

It has 3 broken studs on one hub, so I can't drive it to have it tested at a mechanic, and I just paid to have it towed to my house (thinking 2 months wasn't long enough to cause engine problems). Before I buy a new tire+wheel and install the new studs, I want to know if it's going to be worth my time (in other words, If I can even get it to run).

It is on 1 jack stand from the front driver's side (up approximately 12 inches).

Came from police auction.

Previous to the car sitting for 2 months, the sensor that connects to the air intake (large rubber pipe, not the manifold itself) had to be disconnected for the car to run. This is still disconnected.

What the heck do I do!?!?!? :)

Added 2 gallons of new fuel (tank is 1/2 full now). Replaced fuel filter.

Tried to use the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light)... There was no connector at one of the the specified PINs: 4 or 15. No flashing of the check engine light.

Still no luck.

Removed the fuel pump and brought it to O'Reilly. Guy at the counter owns a 2000 Hyundai Accent just like mine. There was a technical service bulletin that he took notice to because his car had the same issue.

Technical service bulletin describes a problem with the negative/ground connector on the fuel pump.

Pump works fine.

Harness and wiring works fine.

I replaced the connector for the negative terminal (positive is blue, negative is black [on the fuel pump itself]) and now it works great.

Instead of buying a new fuel pump I simply drilled a hole and wedged a paper clip in. 'Ghetto', but my car runs. That guy at O'Reilly Saved me about $200.

Is there some damage to the tire and wheel? I had to have one stud replaced after a mechanic cross-threaded a lug nut and the next time I had tire work it snapped right off. It was about $100 bucks to get it replaced at my Hyundai dealer, pretty much all labor.
