I know this topic has been posted by others and probably beat to death, but I cannot get the window crank handle off. There is supsosedly a clip behind the handle (and I assume it is between the handle and spacer), and everything I have tried has been to no avail. I even went to a local auto-parts store and bought the tool for removing these clips, and that didn't even work. The Hyundai Service site (hmaservice.com) was no help at all. I'm looking for any insight that can help.

Thanks

After screwing with the door crank on my wife's accent I found the clip is in between the spacer and window crank arm. The tips I read say to put the crank arm in the 6 o'clock position and slide a cloth or butter knife in underneath and it will pop out. Tried it... and no luck. I pushed the door trim panel in and slid a flat screw driver in between the spacer and door crank to get a better look and the door crank popped off from the pressure. To reinstall I just pinched the clip tighter around the crank arm base and slid it over the extension from the door. Hope this helps...Good luck.

Thanks 273Hypo. I finally found the clip today, and for whatever reason it was between the spacer and the door panel. So my wifes car had a layout of handle/spacer/clip/panel. I ended up taking a piece of steel wire and bending a hook in one end, and then I went fishing and was able to get it off. After fighting with the interior door handle/lock and it's plastic cup, was able to get those out of the way and finally succeeded in getting the panel off. Did what I needed to do and got the panel back on, again a big fight with getting the interior handle assembly to go back through the panel. Thanks for the reply and hopefully will never have to take the panel off again.
