Drives: 1999 Hyundai Tiburon SE
Hi, so my 1999 tiburon (auto tranmission) seems to work for all the gears but when it is shifted into reverse it just countinues to move in the forward direction. I have spoken to a mechanic and apperently the whole tranny needs to be rebuilt or I need a new tranny but has anyone else had this problem and knows of a way to fix it or atleast what is causing this problem to occur?

well cant think of what it would be off the top of my head, but if you do get a new tranny make sure to get a beta 2 (2002?+ elantra), they are alot nicer and bolt right on, plus they are about the same price
