QUOTE(mamamia @ Oct 3 2008, 06:07 PM) Don't forget also your Distributor system flush, Power Steering reset and Battery alignment. Very important! Total cost about $657.99 -------- You'll lose your warranty if you neglect it!!!
I love it. The Pat Goss radio show, I think, was one of the prime movers behind the "flush it" movement. He particularly pushed brake flushes - in between pushing BG products. If you think of all the things that could go wrong in doing a brake flush and then take a close look at who does this sort of work - I think you will have second thoughts. On the other hand, maybe you like the idea of some meathead getting air and dirt in your brake system. I like the battery inspection scam also. Looking at a sealed battery (almost universally used nowadays) would be about as interesting as staring at a tree - and about as useful.

QUOTE(Sequoiasoon @ Oct 4 2008, 12:57 AM) Get some of the BG 44K from the add/link. It does work and works well IMO. I used to use Techron regularly twice/year but noticed no difference. One can of 44k and difference was felt very quickly.
Top teir gas etc still clogs up fuel injectors. You need a little more oomph to get them spraying correctly. 44k at my local dealer was about $14 per can.
To the other posters..... Maybe watch where you go but a brake fluid flush is HIGHLY recommended at least every couple years. I didn't do it on my old car for MANY years (front pads lasted 90k) You should have sen how disgusting the fluid was when I actually went to do it :w00t: . My brake warning light was coming on even though reservoir was at least 3/4 full. so much junk had settled in the resrvoir that every turn caused the float to trigger the low fluid light. It was a photo cell that would sense low fluid when the float covered the eye. I had to remove the reservoir and replace it as it was that dirty and stained. Second issue was the bleeders rusting in place that caused headaches.
Lesson learned the hard way. Brake fluid flush is mandatory. I do have a Motive pressure bleeder which makes it nice though. Clean new fluid in container hooked to master cylinder. Open farthest bleeder until fluid runs clean. repeat at each wheel, done. Fresh clean fluid ready to go.
I would agree usually every 3 years and you should replace the brake fluid. Water enters the lines and causes the master cylinder seals to wear as well as rusting the caliper. This will prolong the use of the caliper as well as all of the brake components. I'm not sure on the Sonata but even if you flush the system out there is some fluid that stays in the ABS modulator. Usually after a flush you need to trigger it to go off so the crud is removed from the ABS modulator and then another flush is needed.

:bwekk: This is also another scam!! :bwekk: Unless you mean more quality brand name gasoline. Not higher octane gas. PS Don;t forget the muffler belt :bwekk: :bwekk:
