2008 4 Cyl Auto Vibration Help, Transmission Vibration

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 7 Joined: 5-June 08 Member No.: 46,400 Status: Location: Canada Drives: 2008 Sonata GLS	I have a 4 cyl. automatic. I get a vibration or booming sound in the 40-45mph (65kmpH-75kmph) range. I know there is a TSB on this, but has anybody had the service of reprogramming the transmission done and has it resolved the problem. My dealer here in Ontario, Canada performed the reprogramming but there has been no change. I'd like to think that it is not the nature of the beast, but just an incorrect repair by the dealer. Please let me know your experiences.

Some have had it done and gotten good results. Maybe your dealer didn't do it right. I'd take it back and have them do it again. Hopefully those who had it done will chime in here for you.

I went back to the dealer and the service manager wanted to go with me on a ride so he could hear and feel exactly what I was talking about. After the ride he got personnaly involved, took the computer and set up the car himself. Seems the tech had done 1/2 of the program but missed the 2nd part. Tech came out and apologised for messing up and the problem is now solved. Good dealer and willing to take the time to sort out the problem.
