Hi,
I have, only a week ago, purchased a base model i30 which has manual airconditioning Spring commenced in New Zealand on September 01 so that the daytime high is only about 17 degrees. The aircon appears to struggle to keep the in car temperature down to a comfortable level[I wonder what will it be like when faced with 30 degree heat!]
Q1 has anyone else had a similar problem ?
Q2 is climate airconditioning a higher powered unit than manual?

Welcome Roman Gladiator to the site and congrats on choosing the i30.

Living in the UK given the summer we've had, struggled to get 2 days of sunshine, I've no experience to help you with your prob.

But go to the following site which is dedicated to the i30 and set up by an Ozzie.

http://www.i30ownersclub.com

I don't think the exact question has been asked but if you ask it you're bound to get a reply.

Hi Roman [can I call you by that name?]

As eye30 said we here in the UK have had no real reason to use the refrigerating qualities of the aircon too much, but when I've used mine it's frozen my danglies right off. A real icebox.

If you're saying you're not getting this effect then either post the question to the dedicated forum that eye30 linked to, or ask your stealership why it isn't behaving.
