Hi FELLOW TRAJETERS ,

Currently I am using MICHELIN MXV8 : 215-65-R15 Standard Tyres and very soon would be replacing those .

I am thinking Yokohama - ES-501 dB-DNA . I know this tyre has been around more than 5 years but I also know the sidewall of Yokohama is weaker than Michelin . So long there is no hard impact it should be OK ? Any comments ?

Reason for change in manufacturer : Cost and Origin of make

 :liebe011:

I am very happy with Bridstone Turanza AR10. It is a new model that was launched earlier this year. Google for this and you will find that reviews on this tire are favourable.

Tires might be cheaper in Malaysia. Just changed a pair in June at RM298 each. Maybe take a drive up to JB for a new set ..... the price diff might just make it worth your while.

Sorry, I'm from KL.

Try looking at the Bridgestone site http://www.bridgestonetyre.com.my

You can find some contacts for JB dealers there, you can then ask them anything you like

Hi TRAJETXG ,

When into Malaysia Web-site :

AR-10 for your size : 235/65 R17 --> Not available :bwekk:

Anyway , I tot you should be using 235 /55 R17 since you increase your RIM size ? The Tyre did not touch anything ?

Herd that GR80 have become EOL and that AR-10 is the replacement. AR-10, if I'm not wrong, is made in Indonesia thus the price different. But I know 1 user in JB on his Trajet giving good comments on this tyre.

Hi Trajet1715

Great to know that you are happy with the treads. That's a great deal you got there for the AR10s. Especially when you have alignment thrown in too.

Hi MWLee ,

You bet ! The workshop is out of town near Pasir Gudang within a housing neighbourhood . Ordinarily , I doubt somebody would wonder so far to a workshop unknown within a housing estate . I am adventurous and want to test out new ground ......so the owner said " since I got the heart to visit his shop all the way , alignment is FREE !

Try from your end ........ KL maybe get better deal ???

Rdgs,
:bwekk:
