I have a 2001 Atos Prime and am becoming quite dissatisfied with the small engine...I drove a 1600 cc car for two weeks and then returned to my Atos...which I love dearly...but now I find that it is not that much fun to drive anymore now that I have had better/bigger. My question is ...can I keep the car I love to look at , but give it a bigger engine? Someone suggested that I install a Hyundai Accent engine. Has anyone here ever done that or heard of it...and is there any advice you could give?

The downside is insurance; as you clearly intend to get more excitement/thrills from the car (which you may get unexpectedly as it isn't designed for more power) the insurance will treat you as a boy racer, with appropriate premiums, if you can get cover at all. The vehicle inspectorate might not approve either, so it might not be street legal. It would of course be ok for track days. Go Clio racing; it would be so much more fun!
