hey i just have a quick question for those of you that installed your own.

The head unit i am getting has an ipod hookup on the back of it that i will be using.

my question is: once i take the factory radio out, is there enough clearance and/or openings to run this cable so it sticks out of the glove box?

obviously i dont want to just leave the ipod inside the dash behind the head unit, that wou l be dumb.

ideas? experiences?

The glove box is not contained once it is shut, meaning you will have no problem runing the cables to the glove box. My headunit has a USB cable to connect to a USB stick, I have it run to the glovebox with a simple ziptie to keep it in place

I have the same setup without any glitch. There's a lot of place back there!

there is a ton of room behing the whole dash for any number of cable runs. Very big plus for stereo builds

there's plenty of room back there. I have a single DIN Stereo and I put my cable in the little cubby that was built into the face thingy. I had to drill a hole through the back, but you can't see it.

That was easier for me, since I am always taking my Ipod out of my car.

I might be tempted to if I had a baby. Don't have one yet though.
