plastic can melt and acrylic... dont know the chemical properties so idunno. i think it is a bit retardant(sp) to heat but unnno. im just going to get the car sent it for the engine frame belly pan and torsion bar back belly pan. there is quite a bit of drag that i can see just looking under the car in the back end.

Plastic is fine... my last car(VW B5 Passat) came from the factory with a hard plastic belly pan. As long as it isn't directly touching your exhaust you should be fine.
