Hello,
My lantra tends (once a month) to run roughly/shaking when cold when left alone for 4 days or more, and I also noticed petrol smell, but the engine was revving/responding ok to gas pedal (wasn't driving it, just idling), and after idling for 1-2 minutes it stopped shaking.
Something else annoys me(happens randomly): after the engine has been completely warmed up and then left off for an hour or two, it starts roughly, idles from 300-700 rpm(jumping up and down) and after touching gas pedal it revs up to steady 900rpm and shaking for a minute and after that everything is normal.
Could this also be an IAT sensor? I'm asking because I know at the dealer's they'll take a scan (not cheap) and tell me all is ok...
Just remembered that I once(7 months ago) measured iat resistance and it responded to temperature changes quickly. I'm suspecting a bad sensor connection. It could be this simple. I'll go check it out first thing in the morning.
Anyone had this sort of problems too?
cheers, mark
