Hi All,

I need some help finding some touch up paint for a 2006 Elantra. The paint code is WN.

I was told by the Hyundai dealer that it is no longer sold by Hyundai. Would anyone have any ideas where to find this paint? I have tried local car part dealers with no luck.

Try duplicolor online, as most Hyundai colors are not available in the auto parts stores.

Try a different dealer. There's NO WAY they've already discontinued touch up paint.

Sure enough Hyundai still makes the paint. I emailed Hyundai Canada. I called the same dealer (only one in town) and gave them the part number. The guy remembered me asking and then told me the part was listed under 2004 and not 2006.

Now that's a bad parts guy. I'm just an owner and I would have checked all years from 04 to 06; except for a few small details they are identical through those years. The only difference, really, is that in 06 they got rid of the GT sedan and replaced it with the Elantra Limited (which had many of the same features).

I agree: terrible parts guy. Or lazy parts guy. A paint code chart is available that lists the paint pen part number by paint code, as well as any updates or changes. I've been working for Hyundai parts for three years now and am not aware of ANY paint pens that have been discontinued.

What an idiot... lol.
