Hi all
Saftey aspects aside the wife is expecting our baby any day now and she wants the baby's car seat in the front passenger seat but is worried about the airbags.
Is it as simple as just taking the fuse out to disable the airbags, also am i right in thinking there are two fuses for the airbags in the Matrix 1.6 2001 /2

Many Thanks

Knowing what you know about Hyundai Airbags you would

chance having the Baby in the front. I would '"Rethink Everything"

Put the baby in the back seat center position. It's safer that way. And disabling the airbags is foolish, as well as highly illegal.

I understand you want to make your wife happy... especially now. But I cannot for the life of me think why you would want your newborn, or heck... even a toddler in the front seat.

I know you said "Saftey aspects aside" but think about it like this... your wife is driving with your baby... someone in the other lane crosses over and hits you head on. You are either now a single parent, or you are a widower with no children. Grim thought... yes but a VERY real one.

DO NOT put your child in the front seat... **** don't even turn their car seat forward facing until the limits on the seat.

Consider the Graco Nautilus. Put it in the middle and use it up to 65 lbs with 5 pt belt. Can be used in the middle of the back seat without a should belt.

Good luck, eat right and get some sleep when you can. You will need it.
