There are two radiator fans .
Are these supposed to come on together or is one a "dominant" fan and the other an auxilliary that comes on only when needed?
I have never seen the second fan come on and I have had some long idles.
Just wondering!
Thanks if you know the answer!

Almost always when a vehicle is equiped with 2 fans one is an auxillary or "as needed" fan.As long as water temp is below 212f it will not come on.

I've had both the fans come on when idling in 90 degree weather (Fahrenheit). The blow a LOT of freakin air... Without the A/C on, so I'm not sure that I believe that the second one is the condenser for the A/C... especially since they're both over the radiator. Unless the USA models of the cars are just different like that.

The condenser is mounted infront of the radiator.
The fan is there to blow air though it to expell the heat from the ac system.
Otherwise you ac would not work well for long.
