I own a AT 2002 Accent and in the last few months my mileage deteriorated considerably, I'm getting between 19 and 20 mpg, a full tank will go for about 200 miles. I used to get a lot more, around 25 to 28 mpg.
I remember that a while ago I read that some sensors on certaing Hyundai AT models had issues and caused the the gas consumption to spike up, and that disconnecting (not replacing) said sensor would improve fuel economy somewhat. Is this true? In case it is could someone point me to where I can get instructions on how to disconnect it?
Thanks,
James
