I had to swerve to avoid being side-swiped by a stupid Philly cop today and scraped my wheel on a curb! :rant2: :crying:

Is there anything I can do to try to buff it out? prolly not
It's so scratched to **** in that one spot :( (the lighter color silver in the bottom right of the wheel is just where I licked my fingers and tried to buff it out with my fingers, it's not scratched there.

Only problem with that is that MY insurance company doesn't know I have my car in the city... it would cost 3 TIMES MORE to have it insured in the city, so if they found out I use it for sandwich delivery, that'd be a problem LOL

if you have a local wheel repair shop in your city they'd be able to repair that. All they do is weld some new aluminum on it then machine it down to match then paint it. Had all four wheels done on one of my previous cars, local wheel place, for $125

Thanks! You're a lifesaver.

Hmm..
Local city = Philly
Philly car repair shops = ghetto as f\/ck.
Looks like this is gonna be a job for a legitimate suburban business! lol

Thank you so much! I didn't know that places can do that!

Aha, no problem, where mine were all curbed up it was straight, so the welding and machining process was simple, yours are curved and have a seam in it so I don't know how easy it will be, or cheap, but it definately can be done, I promise you that. ****, one of the wheels I took them, was missing a 5 square inch chunk of aluminum on the INSIDE of the rim, where the bead sits then a little farther in.. Don't want to talk about how I did that one.... Anyway, they fixed that one right up for me for $75, tire never even leaked. Just look up a wheel shop, and see if they can get you a quote

Or you could always go this route:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-Truck-...p4506.m20.l1116

Been looking for some of them for myself, but I want a set of take-offs with tires to replace the 18's I have on my car... I like the stock look

So your not supposed to drive in any city at all in the US? That doesn't sound right. If I were you I'd just tell them you went to your uncles in the city if they ask. I'm sure they won't. They aren't supposed to ask where you were going LOL.

AND I said the police deparments insurance. Your insurance shouldn't even be bothered as it was there fault

**** give me the phone number and I'll call them. LOL
