Sounds like the same affects the salt belt had in the mid 50s wiith the Rambler.

I was working in a gas station many years ago in Illinois when an elderly lady came in for an oil change for her 1956 Rambler station wagon. I put the chucks under the car in the appropriate places and began raising the hydraulic lift.

The first thing I started noticing was the car was not rising but her front seat was.

I quickly dropped the vehicle and told her the car was a death trap. She had it towed out of our station and bought another vehicle. Not a Rambler, by the way.

Holy smokes... yep, sure do hope that particular issue was corrected in this current generation of Sonata... it's the same frame as the Azera, more or less...
