You have to pop the outter trim panel out with a SMALL screw driver or panel popper. Put a tiny bit of tape on the end and start on a corner. Make sure you have a good bite on it

I bought some trim removal tools off ebay. It was 15 bucks, but well worth it because that sucker is hard to get off the first time. I wrenched and pried and twisted and pulled and didn't leave a scratch on anything.

Here's what I ordered, shipping wasn't bad either. They helped with popping off the other panels too so that I could run my amp wiring.

have you recieved/tried them out yet, I would like to know how those panel tools work on the fascia for the radio. Pulling that piece off is a royal pain in the a s s. Fortunately I only managed to scratch my dash in a very inconspicuous spon

yeah, i got them and used them and they worked fine. like I said, i really jammed them in there and hammered on them, and they didn't leave even the smallest scratch. They're like vinyl plastic material, kindof flexible but sturdy too.

hey, i was thinking..
in the SR there's a clarion 1 din head unit.. and it has the bracket with a little cubby underneath the unit.

maybe hyundai would have the part for sale?
not sure, just a thought.
.. and then after actually reading the OP, this is the wrong thread.. early morning still.
may still be good to find out though, if you need a bracket.
