I just had the grill painted last week and installed it over the weekend. What do you all think? I am considering painting the mesh a matte black finish to darken the opening more.

looks nice but why not put the M and S logo on the grille, the blank spot stands out

I agree, it does leave a blank spot, however, the emblem did not quite fit flush on the bottom. That left a small gap under the emblem that would have allowed dirt and water to accumulate. I don't think the tape would have lasted too long and the emblem would have eventually come off.
