How does Hyundai treat TSB's when a car is out of warranty? Is it still a covered item (like a recall) or does it become the customer's problem?

I ask because I need the Voltage Drop TSB done, but I'm at ~63,000 miles.

If they won't cover the TSB for free, does anyone know how much the two battery cables and body ground terminals cost?

Thanks in advance.

A Recall will always be performed on your Hyundai & without charge.

A TSB is just a communication to the Dealer, and as a rule only applies

to certain Units. I would not think work performed under a TSB would

necessarily be free, unless under Warranty.

That's what I was afraid of. So does anyone know what it would cost to have the new battery cables installed?

I would see if the dealer will do it under warranty. You are still close on miles and they are more likely to fix a known problem than some random occurrence. I'm pretty sure my dealer would do it, but they have provided exceptional service compared to some of the horror stories I've heard on this board.
