Full marks to my dealer, Sunwin Hyundai in Derby. Not only did they give me the full trade-in quoted in April, but they argued with Hyundai UK and got me the finance deal which was running in April/May (at 6.6% APR), instead of the current one which is nearly double that rate.

Finally picked it up today after ordering on 12th April, and I can defintely say it was worth the wait. It's a lovely little motor - looks good (in black), drives very nicely and will suit me fine for the daily commute to work and other bits of running about.

If anyone wants to get over to the Honest John site and reply to the thread it would be good - some real Hyundai / i10 bashers on there saying some unfair stuff.

OK - one of them pi$$ed me off enough to reply. Pensioner's car indeed!!! :rant2:

There's other derogatory posts by the same guy.

I see the OP managed to get his original deal after threatening the dealer with court!

EDIT: I see you've already spotted my post on there.

Any further news on your 1.2 yet, Steve?

Yes, I put another post on there last night as I didn't like some of the comments from people who probably judge the i10 on other Hyundais they have sat in over the years.

Well, if we were told the correct info, our i10 should be docking on a ship at Tilbury tomorrow. I'm hoping our dealer will give us a call in the week to confirm. We have only seen about 5 or so i10's on the road in our area over the past few months so at least we'll be exclusive!
