I agree! Do it! What color was it? I am assuming it had the technology package since it was an even $40,000.

I like the car, but some reviews are beginning to see concerns so I am waiting for the 2010/2011. Also hopeful, they will move some 4.6 features to the 3.8 Premium Package.
Also, it appears they are beginning to build up on dealer lots in this area, so expect price cuts in next several months.

Thde problem as I see it is that, by not doing theit homework and putting all the money in eye candy and neglecting the all important suspension they may have relegated it to just another Hyundai, same mistake they did with the Azera, not taking care of tec probkems. When will they ever learn...the answer is blowing in the wind.

Forum members trading Azeras for Scions & Sebrings. And mine is a story in it self. I would not dare touch a Genesis until I see how they fair after a few decades.....Years

"Black Noir Pearl finish, maxed out amenities" should pretty much say it all....with the exception of noting that it was a 3.8 V6!!!

I saw one too last week at the dealership while having service on the Sonata. Great looking car inside and out. They wanted $35,000.00. It was a V6. I don't remember what else it had.
It will be intersting to see if they can get $35,000 to $42,000+ for them. The Japanese had to create new brand names when they went to the high end. Do you think people will spend that much for the Hyundai name?

My local dealer still has three on his lot that have been there for up to a month. Wonder if sales are slowing down and it is time for Hyundai to get real on the prices?
New car, Hyundai's 1st RWD, not fuel efficient, bad US economy and getting worse, auto sales down across the board except for hybrids and super fuel efficient and it's a Hyundai. Need to get some on the road so people can see them.

Hyundai needs to learn how to market in this price range!
They treat the buyers of Azera & Genesis the same as those from the Sonata down. No disrispect to any of those owners, but we are dealing here with a different type of customer, this customer could have gone to Lex, Infin, Audi or BMW but decided to give Hyundai a try, this was my case. I have no complaints whatsoever about my Azera, I am only disappointed in the way the company supports us or doesn't support us, both at the service level and the marketing level by not creating demand for this car. The same is happening to the Genesis, again with all due respect, I'm sure most of the buyers for this car would have gone elsewhere had they had the money. That's why for me this is my last Hyundai above the Sonata level. What missed opportunities for Hyundai, because aftere these failures they will NEVER really break into the luxury market and convert Lex, Inf drivers to their products.
