Well I'm not going to list all the mod becuase frankly there is a lot. But here's what it's done for my car.

Only high octane fuel 91 I'm pulled the following on the dyno.

133, 135, 135, 137

I did 4 passes and this is what I did. These readign are at the wheels so if you tried to compare it to the 110hp we all know they would be

143, 145, 145, 147

We worked it out to be about a 10-15 HP loss from the crank to the wheels. I raced a 2008 SRT4 and beat him. I've taken a 2.0L Tiburon easy. Colbalt SS is easy. I've not a had a chance to race a stock V6 Tiburon yet, But so far anyone I've raced has had nothing but respect for the car and it's speed. With all the mods I've done I have yet to get a Engine light as well. I did get one today, but it was due to me using a old O2 sensor from my LC2 Accent that I had left over. Put in the spare one I had from my MC and engine light went away. So with that I'm done with the performance mods for this car and I'm now saving up for the new Genesis Coupe or Tiburon replacement.

i highly doubt that you beat a srt-4. BTW what mods do you have for the engine? All i can think of is header, exhaust, intake, pulley, better sparks, and engine damper? Pics of dyno sheet would really help. If you can prove all this, RESPECT to the max for you.

i dont need proof. i beleive you. msvg said he has 148....... looks like we got a good race when you two meet up. i raced a turbo 240sx a while back and i kept up into third but then his boot started to pull away and the road was ending soon. these cars can do some amazing things.

oh and btw the factory rating is 112hp...thats what ive read...and 107tq

also what was your torque rating? thats what im always interested in :D..i like getting off the line then having a better top end lol :D

also 147bhp is hilariously awesome! i was expecting 150bhp from you so 147 is great!!

can you PLEASE PM me an idea of what youve got??? ive very curious and i want a quick car for around here due to idiots thinking Civics are still the fastest 4 cyl around here...so i think youd agree with me in saying we need to put Civics in their place LOL

ive already got a good chunk of some of your mods...i need a header and new mid pipe...other than that, its all i can think of.......can you get underdrive pullies???

Beating a SRT4 is easy for us. FIrst off they wieght a lot more than we do. And the turbo setup in those are crap. Yah is was just a race to 60mph or 100Kpm but I still won plan and simple.

Even if they weigh 800-1000 pounds more they still have more then enough power and torque to cover it up. Isnt stock srt-4 1/4 mile time ranges from mid 13's to 14's? You said with your car you did a 16.7 1/4 mile with your mods back then, its kinda hard for me to believe that you got 2 seconds faster with just regular bolt on. BTW I think the neon srt-4 discontinued in 05 or 06? Or did you raced the Caliber SRT-4. But if you say you beat him then Congrats  .

There's no way you beat an SRT-4. He was either playing with you, spun at the line all day, or didn't know how to drive.

Our Accents aren't that much lighter, about 400lbs. The SRT-4's make well over double for power that our cars make which more than makes up for that 400lbs. Those things stock, out of the box, with a set of tires on the front, were running 13.1 - 13.5 all day at the Mopar Nats. last year. Our Accent's, even yours, would be lucky to see low 15's.

BASE SRT-4 (not Stage 2 or Stage 3) 230hp and 250ft-lbs
SRT-4 Stage 2 - 265hp and 285ft-lbs
SRT-4 Stage 3 - Depends on your fuel: 310hp and 325ft-lbs w/91 or 355hp and 365ft-lbs w/ race gas

All of these are available right from Chrysler as an option, not aftermarket. Most people purchased the stage 2 kit, and a few the stage 3.

Now lets do the math, with just the base.

SRT-4 Neon Weight - 2880lbs. 230/2880 = 0.08hp per lbs

Let's take your top run:

Accent BASE weight - 2470lbs. 147/2470 = 0.06hp per lbs

So the SRT-4 Base has a 20% better power to weight ratio than your car.. Won't even do the other 2...

Though that is some impressive power you got out of that little motor

Caliber sorry for the mistake, forgot they had a SRT4 Neon before. Figured you would understand that is was a Caliber and not the neon SRT4. Yah no way would I hold up to a neon srt4. Not unless I ever get the turbo programing issue resoved.

The caliber makes a lot more power than the neon... I know this as my family owns one. The base caliber srt-4 makes 285hp, don't know about the stages kits on them, and only weighs about 200lbs more. 285/3100 = 0.092hp per lbs, so quite a bit better in power to weight, and has a six speed standard so you can keep it in the power-band for longer.

Most likely was just a jive Caliber you were racing, cause after driving ours (we just bought it about 3 weeks ago or so) there's no hope in ****. Shifted from 1st at about 30km/hr to 2nd and then stomped it, didn't feel like much was happening so I though WTF is wrong with this thing, it don't pull, then I looked at the speedo... 120km/hr in 2nd gear, in a matter of a few seconds

komptek, do you have pictures of your dyno run you can post? I am curious to see the power curve on our cars. Even though I know the curve on your should be somewhat different than stock.

Also was your dyno done on a dynojet or a mustang dyno? I.E. rollers or hub?

Cobalt SS?? Maybe fake badges on it ??

I could barely hold a SS with my civic EK (hatch) with '99 Sir with skunk 2 chip and headers with 2 1/4 from front to back, with a 4 puck ACT clutch. The car only had 2 front seats when I raced the cobalt ss. The car was maybe at 170hp with less weight than the Accent.

Yes we were dumb took it on the autoroute, but he beat me nonetheless. I really doubt my accent with a few bolt ons could take one.

Our SR's have the sound system, lips (15 lbs of double sided tape holding it together... lol ) and all the other "gadgets" to go with it , so its a bit more heavier than a base accent.

hehe nah I'm just messing , cause I went to the dealer 3x to get ALL the lips redone. They seem to be putting more and more tape under there..

Honestly... I regret getting the SR. I cannot complain for the looks though, its a real looker.

I dont regret it. I believe komp as I have a similar setup. As for the tape i had my dealership remove it all and put on some strong adhesive. I have yet to see any problems.
