The Oct issue of Car and Driver has a test drive of the 4.6. Overall fairly favorable as a "luxury cruiser," but not a sports sedan. That would be fine with me and is why I lean toward the 3.8.

They did note that spring tension and damping need to be revised. I think this is what and some others noticed in our test drives. Also, it did not shift as well as they thought it should.

Issue also reviews the Lincoln MKS.
