Yes indeed. Where as turbos have turbo lags (though in more refined ones it's much less apparent), supercharger boosts throughout the powerband. And like chad said if you want that much power you're gonna need a lot more than just putting in a tubro with high psi. Also, superchargers are capable of decent psi's. Example: The Cobalt SS's Eaton Supercharger (now they changed it to turbocharged) was running 12 psi stock. Granted I'm not an expert on these things; I'm just speaking from what I know.
