As many of you know the Tiburon's are famous for the gas cap and gills fading. I finally broke down and decided to paint mine since it was badly faded. Here is the progression pictures:

Before painting process:

After 3 coats of paint:

After 3 coats of clear coat applied and reassembled:

After wetsand and buffing the black part of the cap:

Once I get my gills back from the body shop and I get my car back from the dealer I will post up pics.

looks great man i like it.
what kind of paint did you use cause i need to paint my gas cap and gills due to fading...

Duplicolor Fabric & Vinyl Gloss Black (good for plastic) and Duplicolor Silver and Duplicolor Clear Coat. To get the metalic look from the black is by lightly misting the cap with the silver after applying a coat of black.
