I tried to replace the brake pads on my 97 Elantra today but the caliper piston would not compress. Is there anyway to un-seize it or do I need new calipers? Thanks!

If they are the original calipers, I would replace or rebuild them and only in pairs. Do not just replace/rebuild one side as you will likely have problems with the other side. Also, make sure yo replace all of the hardware like the pads clips and guide bolts.
