I know this has been discussed before, but if I had to pick one think that bugs me about my wifes car, it would have to be the lack of the iPod jack. I have an Aux-in chip for my car, does anything like this exist for the Sante Fe? I'd gladly give up XM if I could just plug in an iPod...

Someone posted that the 2009 Santa Fe is supposed to be equiped with an Ipod/Aux input, so hopefully we'll see this as an accessory that we can just pick up for the 07/08's.

How it Works

The iCarPlay broadcasts your iPod's music over an empty FM channel. By tuning your radio into that same channel, you are able to listen to your iPod in the car with high quality audio.

The iCarPlay uses the vehicles cigarette lighter power to broadcast the iPod, and produces a more powerful transmission and higher quality sound than any FM transmitter using the iPod battery as a power source.

The iCarPlay powers and charges charges the iPod while in use, so you won't have to worry about charging your iPod before using it in the car. The iCarPlay Wireless Plus comes with everything you need to get your iPod connected, no additional cables or equipment are necessary.

This adapter is compatible with any iPod except the new apple iPhone or any iPod Shuffle.

Installation

Installation is simple and straightforward and can be installed in less than 3 minutes by anyone. No additional tools or equipment are necessary.

Plug one end of the adapter into the cigarette lighter plug in your 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe, and the other end into the bottom of your iPod. Tune your stereo to the radio station selected on the Monster iCarPlay Wireless Plus and you will immediately begin hearing your iPod on the factory Hyundai stereo system.

While in use, all of the controls on the iPod itself will remain fully functional and intact. Navigate through your music on the iPod exactly the same way you normally do by playlist, album, artist, etc.

The iCarPlay can easily be moved between any iPod, and any vehicle.

It's a nice thing if you can plug your iPod in (and I can't) but the reality is, the audio quality sux.

No.. I'm not some audiophile nutbar, my background is Radio.

Now.. if I could get a nice interface for an old Dual Belt Drive turntable... that would sound sweet!!

Just an off-topic opinion from an old guy here, but with nearly 200 mp3/wma files fitting on a single disk who needs to carry their ipod everywhere they drive? It's just one more cord dangling from your dashboard, one more thing to put away every time you park, one more reason for someone to smash in your window...
