So NOW I'm thinking along the lines of getting a custom catback, since the ones from EvoFusionUSA DO NOT fit 2008 Hyundai Accent SE 2-door hatchbacks. Should I get a muffler online, or should I just go to the custom exhaust shop and see what they have? Going to the shop directly means I can probably HEAR what the muffler sounds like before I pay for it, which would be GREAT for avoiding ricey-sounding crap. Here's the website of the place I'm most likely going to get it done at: http://www.mhtran.comALL the reviews they've gotten online have been 5/5 stars for both their service AND their prices. And they do custom exhausts for all kinds of cars. The videos on their website are of the race exhausts they've done. (Not street racing, actual muscle cars/trucks). The guy I talked to there said they can pretty much make my car sound however I want it to! :w00t: He ballparked everything on the phone (all exhaust parts and installation) at around $420, but he said it could be significantly less... I'll have to take it in person to have a legitimate estimate performed. I'm taking it on Friday! woooo Also, I'm very pleased to announce that DESPITE the fact that the guy at Monro Muffler told me that installing a catback would void my car's warranty, I drove to the dealership directly and asked them and they said I can do whatever the **** I want to the exhaust and it won't void anything, as long as it doesn't make it impossible to pass emissions (i.e. take off the catalytic converter completely) yayy. **** you Monro Muffler man

QUOTE(Thaiboxer @ Aug 27 2008, 09:37 AM) Blood.
Sense having my cat done for only $260.00 USD thats for 6ft of 2.25 pipeing the labor and the flowmast 60 seires muffler.
A shop tell you $460.00 is way F-ED-UP.
I would start looking for another shop for a better price..
I love what my custom catback has done for power and better MPG but i wished i would have gotten a magnaflow HI flow cat to go with my custom catback as well.
Over the next few weeks that will be my next major mod.
Fair enough, but I think that price may be including a resonator, magnaflow muffler with tip, custom bent piping, and labor. Not sure yet... but I'll find all that out for sure on Friday  I'm actually going to a total of 3 custom exhaust shops thursday/friday. Tomorrow I'm going to 1, but I have a feeling it's some hick, considering he doesn't even have a website and he told me to "call ahead before I come in case he's at the bank" LOL... On Friday, though, I'm going to M & H Trans in Phoenixville (the place that ballparked it at $420 over the phone without having ever seen my car before), and a Monro Muffler in Wayne that will also quote me once they've seen my car in person (a completely different shop than the one that wanted more than $600, so we'll see). I may or may not take my car to a Meineke, too.
