It all comes down to what mods your running, how much compression, forced induction. basically its going to decrase your engines life no matter what. if you run too much of the stuff you could blow it up. maybe a 50 to 100 shot if you have the proper mods. if you think you know what you're doing and you have new rods, pistons, heads, and other various things you could get a 150 but thats an extra 150 hp at the touch of a button so its kindof a last resort type of deal... noone ever said nos was good but if theres money on the line you might wanna be ready to do what it takes. i say keep it small and you should be fine. unless you have done some serious mods on the engine its not a good idea to run alot. although i did see someones head literally rip through the hood 20ft into the air, that was a good show lol, and if you have the spare engine and nothing better to do, try to run some oxygen on it :D, but stand way back haha. theres still parts of the block embedded in the concrete from when i did it

There are a few threads here that mention a 2.0Beta swap. Whith the right money you can do pretty much anything.

I don't understand the point of spending money on Nitrous when you could just get a super/turbocharger and ALWAYS have that power, not just a limited amount of time of it.

noone has tried a supercharger to my knowledge... and less than 1% have tried a turbo.. i think ive heard of 2 attempted turbos..

as for nitrous.. that is not a good idea.. (my opinion, everyones entitled to their own..) if you're looking for a nitrous car i would buy another car.. yes there are mods for the accent, but the majority buy this car for reliability.. warranty.. gas mileage.. and that sort of stuff... nitrous is just unpractical..

but if you do it .. im interested to see it however

I think attempting supercharger would require a LOT of expensive modification (which isn't really practical considering how relatively inexpensive the car is... and I think you'd have to get rid of the alternator, or the A/C or something like that to make room for it to run off the thinger. I really don't know what I'm talking about lol

Nitrous should be fine as long as you use low boost like 5 lbs or less. Sure, there are horror stories, but there are also turbo horror stories.

Don't be scared, just be careful.
