I am looking to install 2 neon light tubes under the two front seats of my 06 sonata.. all the lights I've found are powered by the cigarette lighter... there must be a different way to power the lights in a more hidden way.. any info??

Cut the cigarette lighter plug off and wire them into an unused slot in the fuse box. Or if you are not familiar with automotive wiring, have someone do it for you.

I have done that, and it works just fine... But you definetly want to make sure you use a fuse.

I would use CCFL, cold cathode fluorescent lights.

Neons can be funky, and they can run fairly warm.
LEDs usually look like mini search lights, leaving individual pools of light.
