Start by cleaning the connector,

That was the fault on my sister accent 2001 automatic.

The connector is right under the battery tray.

Very well place if you want it full of dirt, water, snow... etc.

Oh wow! I'll do it myself, my local dealership has the pulse generator for 42 bucks. I'll try cleaning them first, thanks guys!

Hello Caleb,

To clean that connector I use firt Brake Cleaner fluid to remove any dirt and oil.

After I hade some dielectric grease to prevent dirt and water to go inside the connector

The first time I done it on my sister accent 2002 automatic, I was a bit lazy and I did not put any dielectric grease and the fault reappear 1 year after (after the winter)

So the seconde time I done it I put that grease and the fault never come back.
