Greetings to all Azera owners,
Recently purchased a used 2007 Azera and had an auto-start installed by local retailer of Viper auot-start. After installation the airbag light came on and can't seem to be reset by company who installed auto-start. Company has all the tools to reset. No previous problems with airbag light. Only surfaced after auto-start installed. Any thoughts. Thanks

QUOTE(boostedfc3s @ Aug 25 2008, 01:17 PM) So was I, until I was cleaning my windshield yesterday and noticed the start of a small one. I use a sun shade up front too to prevent that very thing from happening, but it still did. I'm getting real sick of the problems. 28K gets me an '05 LS430 with the ultra luxury pack, with radar cruise and a fridge in the back seat.
Ah, the crack......... Genesis...... No thanks. Rather own a Ford. Make sure you check your steering wheel real well after the dash fix.... and your shifter knob.

I would rethink that Ford statement! LOL The Genesis uses much better quality products in it's build. The dash is done completely different from that in the Azera. However, to each their own. I've had my Azera now 2.5 years and not a single crack in my dash (knock on wood). Really don't know what to say, but...as long as it's covered under warranty at least you don't have to pay for replacement.

QUOTE(boostedfc3s @ Aug 26 2008, 01:22 PM) Here's my issue list for the dealer to address tomorrow:
Driver side sun visor falls out of its clip dash pad crack passenger door pad crack back seat drive side leather head rest crack grinding passenger window air bag light on again front suspension still crap.
Quite the laundry list if I do say so myself.
It is quite a list, however....none of which should cause you to lose sleep at night. All of which, should be handled by the warranty. There are folks that have had the TSB performed on their front suspension with great success. The airbag light, while an issue...isn't stranding you on the side of the road, right? Drop it off and tell them to fix all of those things and fix 'em right.

QUOTE(boostedfc3s @ Aug 26 2008, 12:37 PM) Yea they did the TSB once already. It was lousy even after they did it, better than it was, but its just as noisy as ever now.
Agreed. Mine felt good for about the first 3-5K and then it was back to sounding and riding like a 61' Chevy Apache pickup. But it is strangely comforting when I see something like this expensive rough rider.

Yes to each their own..... and this own after owning four Hyundai's....... This will be my last. On the crack thing....... Others said that very same thing. Better keep checking. Toyota doesn't need a 100,000,000 mile warranty because you can count on them. I have never ever had a single warranty issue with the Toyota I own now....or any I owned in the past. And I didn't have to replace the stereo either..... The JBL in the Yota sounds great. I hit a big bump yesterday in my Azera and the front end felt like a shopping cart... I thought the wheels were going to fall off... And I'm about a 100% sure that it toasted the alighnment I just had done. Sorry... But this car is lacking. <~~ 09 Sonata on showroom floor. I challenge anyone to find something like this in a Toyota showroom anywhere.

How fast were you going when you hit this big bump? I mean...most people slow down and ease over big bumps, of course you might have toasted your alignment. You're one of the lucky ones...if you go over to the Toyota forums, there's plenty of complaints going on about various models over there too. Quality has been lacking in terms of what folks are used to from Toyota. As far as the OEM Infinity system, it does sound great (better than any JBL system in a Toyota). Funny thing is...they're made by the same folks. Hmmmmmmmmm. Your picture really proves nothing in terms of quality. Kids climb in and out of showroom cars all day long, every day. I've seen kids mess cars up myself. Very easily taken care of.
