Hi,anyone any ideas on the 'click' that comes from the front brake area as i apply the brakes, it usually happens at between 15-25 mph (not noticable at higher speeds). Car is early '06 I4 and only has 14000 mls on it. My thinking was maybe sticking caliper or anti rattle shim on the pads, sometimes from left, sometimes from the right, sometimes not at all !!

I had something similar although it only happened while turning and braking such as you would do when turning a corner or parking the car. My dealer replaced the front brake pads under warranty and the problem is gone. This was done with approximately 66,000 kms (41,000 miles) on the car.

Does it happen only once right after starting your Car. It could be the ABS Self

Check test.

Hi Everyone and thanks for the feedback, the noise tends to happen every time the brake pedal is pressed, within the speed zone that ive mentioned and definitely seems to come from the area of the brakes rather than the pedal (if you know what i mean) i was wondering if there was an issue regarding maybe calipers sticking or needing a little copper lube ?
