From MY experience, and MY logic, it's worthwhile waiting for January. But don't waste no time, do your own research, get some quotes on line, even check places like Fitzmall in MD, and once you know prices, GO IN TO YOUR FAVORITE DEALERSHIP ON THE NIGHT OF JANUARY 30 (31st is a Sunday).... The last day of the month is the best day to buy a car (as long as it's not selling like hot cakes) and January is DA slowest month of the year....

It's possible that the price will fall, but I see more 09 sonatas nowadays. If you can wait a little longer you may be able to find good used 09 sonatas. If you really want a new car, and your budget is around 300 dollars per month, tell your dealer what your budget is and go from there. If they cannot give you 300 dollars per month, go try other dealers. (in response to the "sonatalove") First, DO NOT TELL THE DEALER what your budget is. You don't ever work around your car payment you work around the total amount of the vehicle. If you say I can only do $300 a month, next thing you know your sitting on a 72 month loan. ALWAYS work from the full price of the car. Also, if you really want to save money, from a financial stand point. Find an 09 sonata used, these cars drop in price so fast its insane. If you search online you can find a 09 limited for about $18K with only 8K miles on it. There were 3 posted on autotrader last week. I am a big fan of buying used cars now after seeing the light. When you buy used from Hyundai you get a 5 year/60K mile warranty. Just something to think about. www.fool.com has useful information to get your finance in check.

hey yjbeach, thanks for advising. I was thinking if you know your monthly payment for 60 months, then you would have already figured out what you want to pay. http://www.bankrate.com/brm/auto-loan-calculator.aspI have used that calculator to figure out how much money I should be financing to have a desired monthly payment number. Also, it seems like you can pay tax,tags, and processing fee separately from how much you are financing to save some money. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Never heard of anyone paying those fees separately, however the general advice given was sound. You never want to discuss payments, or" all you can afford", because they can always find something with this info to further maximize profits while finding you less Car. Really!

I would advise anyone to read up on a few websites. www.edmunds.com or www.fool.com before buying a car. The internet is a great tool, but in the end you have to make your own decision. If you go to a dealer and you feel like your not getting the best deal, walk out. They are not your friend and you don't owe them anything. I would also suggest if you have never worked in a sales commision job to try it. You would be suprised when you see what your co-workers do for a little extra cash.
